Modular Western Town project has been live on LEGO Cuusoo since October 2011. The Brothers Brick, Eurobricks, Brickset, Toys N Bricks and others have been supporting this project for a while. I would like to join them supporting too this great idea of extending the modular building concept to the old West!
Let’s take one step further to bring this idea to reality by supporting the project here.

April 8, 2012Fort Legoredo
November 22, 2011Fort Legoredo was one of my favorite LEGO sets during my childhood and was a pleasant surprise when I discovered this wonderful tribute from Franko Komljenovic and Matija Grguric to this set from the year 1996.

Wild west chariot
October 16, 2011Lovely these two wild west charriots built by Matija Grguric. The amount of details is very high and he managed to capture really well the concept of these western’s icons.

Collectible Minifigures Series 6 and 7
October 15, 2011Toys N bricks had publish the first official pictures from the upcoming series of Collectible Mifigures. Like previous collections, these new series presents new historical figures that will delight many LEGO fans.
The 6th series presents a roman warrior. Personally I’ve been waiting for ages for the LEGO roman empire. This figure and the new rounded bricks of the Atlantis sets will make a beautiful combination
This collection also presents a barbarian warrior, which is nice for the battles against the roman army, and a cowboy that will fit perfectly in any western MOC.
The 7th series presents a Viking warrior (girl?), a cool hippie that will fit nicely 10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van and, my favorite, the Aztec warrior (or at least, what I think that it is). The mermaid man will also make a cool Neptune roman god of the sea.
Windmill
October 11, 2011A motorized windmill is the last addition to Matija Grguric’s western layout. The details of the mill are great, specially the way he built the blades.

Big Thunder Mountain
August 27, 2011Wow!!! Was the only word that just came out of my mouth when I saw Fat Tony 1138‘s Big Thunder Mountain, is entry for the western contest at Eurobricks.
This MOC left anyone speechless. It’s a stellar work incredible detailed and very dynamic. I almost hear the train sizzling past… I wish I could back to Disneyland right now…

Saved By The Boom
August 25, 2011Incredible western diorama that Shmails presents today. Many of the “good” old west in a 64×64 baseplate. Among the impressive details I would point out the cactus, the wooden structure of the hanging, the cart leaving the smoke behind and, my favorite, the jail’s explosion! The door flying and the color gradient turns it very “dynamic”.

Great West Railway Station
August 17, 2011Matija keeps surprising us almost every day with a new piece of art. Today he presents a small wooden railway station, built for his club’s western diorama. There are lots of cheese in those walls but the final wooden effect turns to be awesome.

Deadbrick duel
August 13, 2011Jonathan (aka Shmails) presented this great scene of a Western duel that he submitted into the Eurobricks Spaghetti Western Contest. He managed to get a nice and classic western feeling with a good amount of details. Don’t forget to admire the vulture and notice how the bricks direction gives a nice wooden effect in the houses’ walls. I just missed the Saloon in this diorama. The cotton is a recent but common technique to simulate gun smoke that work very well.
